cc cream, pressed powder and satin foundation - whats the difference?
hey lovely lofties!
have you ever found yourself looking at the beautiful Osmosis makeup on our shelves and thought - what the heck is the difference between a cc cream, a powder and a foundation?
well we thought we would create a little guide so next time you are looking, you know exactly what you are looking for!
but first - lets give you a little intro into the wonders of mineral makeup!
mineral makeup is the safest form of makeup on the market today!
it’s so safe in fact that we use it on our lovely clients after treatments such as waxing and facials.
minerals are highly pigmented particles. they block environmental pollutants, have a natural UV protection with the perks of not clogging your pores. minerals lay on the surface of your skin like tiles on a roof and allow your skin to do breathe without creating a barrier.
now onto the good stuff - what actually is the difference between a cc cream, satin foundation and a pressed powder?
osmosis cc cream:
this beauty is a fave among the little loft girls! it provides:
light to semi medium coverage
a dewy finish
a light lifting effect - blurring the appearance of fine lines and pores!
color correcting and true tone technology (when you first pump this out you will notice it comes out it looks like a moisturiser but due to the true tone technology as it warms to your skin it matches your skin tone - so fancy!)
it can be used as a primer if you like a little bit more of a fuller coverage.
it contains beautiful anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory ingredients so you know when you wear it, its actually good for your skin.
osmosis pressed base:
this is great by itself to help with evening out your skin tone and a no fuss weekend makeup, apply it over top of your foundation to add coverage and is a great way to top up your spf throughout the day.
light to full coverage can be achieved - depending on how it is applied.
it is a matte/semi matte finish - leaves your skin with a bit of a ‘lit from within’ glow but doesn’t look too shiny!
it contains natural broad spectrum UV protection because of the natural mineral ingredients
it contains a goji berry blend, green tea leaf extract and vitamin e for soothing, hydrating and antioxidant protection to take care of your skin
satin performance wear foundation:
this is perfect for our full coverage lovers who don’t want something that feels heavy and mask like on the skin.
medium to full coverage - you can build up the coverage in the areas that you need
it is a semi matte finish, this is perfect for all skin types as it gives a little glow to dry skin, but doesn’t look to matte and dry on an oily skin.
is a long wearing formula so you won’t have to worry about touching up during the day - but easy to remove!
contains anti-aging, wrinkle smoothing and plumping ingredients like hyaluronic acid and chamomile.
